Larry Walraven represents and advises employers in a variety of areas, including labor law compliance, employment litigation, ERISA litigation, internal investigations, crisis management, executive agreements, and NLRB proceedings. He has defended numerous class actions and multi-plaintiff litigation matters including defending a major aerospace contractor in toxic tort litigation filed by former employees, defending employers in wage and hour class actions, defending a national health plan administrator in an employee benefits class action, and defending ERISA fiduciaries in litigation brought by groups of participants. Larry frequently advises employers with respect to employment and employee benefits issues arising out of mergers and acquisitions.

Larry has experience representing employers in the manufacturing, electronics, computer, construction, retail, aerospace, financial services, insurance and entertainment industries.

Before founding Walraven & Lehman LLP, Larry was a Partner at O’Melveny & Myers LLP.  Larry joined O’Melveny & Myers in 1989.  He became a partner in 1999 and served as chair of O’Melveny’s Orange County Labor Practice from 2003-2006.

Collectively bargaining a comprehensive collective bargaining agreement covering three states and twenty union locals for an employer with a route sales distribution system
   
Defending a national retailer in two class actions seeking overtime compensation for managers and assistant managers
   
Defending a university in an ERISA breach of fiduciary duty action challenging actions with respect to retirement plan investments involving over 1,200 participants
   
Defending a national health maintenance organization in a class action challenging its practices relating to laser eye surgeries
   
Defending a multi-employer pension plan in a multi-plaintiff action challenging the plan’s allocation of movie and television residuals among participants
   
Defending a major aerospace defense contractor in a toxic tort class action claiming injuries from chemicals used in the manufacturing process
